ABOUT IN TO OUT SWING

About In to Out Swing.

Understand the relationship before changing the swing. In to Out Swing is an independent educational website about golf swing path, clubface direction, strike location and practical feedback.

We turn technical golf terms into visible relationships. Every calculator begins with named inputs, shows its arithmetic, and states what the result cannot establish.

Why this site exists

Golfers often receive advice such as “swing more from the inside” or “close the face” without a clear reference. Those phrases become more useful when club path, face angle, target line, contact and ball flight are separated. In to Out Swing connects those entities so a reader can ask a precise question before choosing a drill or changing a movement.

The homepage introduces the full topic. Supporting guides then address distinct search intents: comparing in-to-out with out-to-in, interpreting signed path values, learning a practice progression, investigating a slice, recording iron or driver contact, and understanding the limits of a diagram.

What we publish

The site includes educational guides, short field notes and interactive calculators. The main face-to-path tool subtracts club path from face angle. Topic calculators cover their own narrower questions, including practice time, strike distributions, putting start-line geometry and coordinate changes. They use only the values a visitor enters; they do not capture video, measure a swing or access launch-monitor data.

Our diagrams are explanatory models. Small angles may be enlarged so they remain visible, and curved lines illustrate tendencies rather than predicted trajectories. Exact inputs and outputs remain available beside each graphic.

How we research and edit

Content begins with the question a page owns in the site’s topical map. We compare terminology with primary or first-party technical material where it is available, define the calculation, work through examples, identify assumptions, and connect the page to the next relevant question. We avoid publishing separate thin pages for spelling variants that share the same intent.

Articles are attributed to In to Out Swing Editorial. That label identifies the publisher; it does not claim PGA, medical, engineering or other professional credentials. Unless a named reviewer is shown on a page, content has not received independent professional coaching review. Read our editorial policy for the complete process.

Independence and monetization

In to Out Swing is independent of the equipment manufacturers, launch-monitor companies and publications it cites. A reference link provides context and does not imply sponsorship, approval or affiliation. The website does not currently display advertising or use affiliate links. If that changes, commercial relationships will be identified and the relevant privacy and cookie disclosures will be updated before the technology is enabled.

What the site cannot do

No calculator can determine the cause of an individual swing pattern from a few numbers. Face-to-path explanations use a centered-contact simplification; impact location and other conditions can change the observed flight. Practice suggestions are general learning frameworks, not personal instruction or a guarantee of improvement.

Golf involves fast-moving clubs and balls. Use appropriate space, follow facility rules, keep people clear of the hitting area, and stop any movement that causes pain. Consult a qualified coach or health professional when individual assessment is appropriate.

Corrections and contact

We welcome specific corrections. Send the page URL, the statement or result you questioned, the values you entered, your playing hand where relevant, and the result you expected. We review reproducible calculation issues and material factual corrections, then update the page or clarify its limitations when warranted.
